8-month Course in Story and Storytelling
June 2025 to Jan 2026. Via Zoom.
Led by Dr Eric Miller.
Course Schedule –
Participants would prepare and tell
the following stories
on these Sundays:
1) June 8th ___ A Remarkable
Incident.
2) July 13th ___ Animal Fables.
3) August 10th ___ Life Stories.
4) Sept 14th ___ Fairytales.
5) Oct 12th ___ Epics or History.
6) Nov 9th ___ Stories created by an
individual other than oneself.
7) Dec 14th ___ Stories created by oneself.
8) Jan 11th ___ One's choice of
story.
2 sessions per month:
1) On the 2nd Sunday of each month,
6pm-8pm India time.
2) On the following day at the same
time (or as decided by the group).
Course topics include:
1) Storytelling (thinking about, finding, creating,
telling, and discussing stories).
2) Storytelling
for Teaching and Learning.

Development and Personal Growth,
Storytelling for

4) Storytelling
for People in the Business World.
Participants would especially be coached to tell
in the "Candid"
Storytelling style.

Course fee: Rs 30,000.
This could be given in two
instalments of Rs 15,000 each:
1) Before Sunday 8th June.
2) Before Sunday 12th Oct.

Graduates of the Course receive a "Certificate of Training".

Certification as a "Professional Storyteller".
Included in the "Story and
Storytelling" Course is a training
process that involves three
one-on-one Zoom meetings
with Dr Eric, upon completion of
which participants earn
Certification as a "Professional Storyteller".
This process can occur during the
scheduled sessions of
the course (the last one of which
occurs on Sunday 11 Jan
2026), or after.
The duration of each of the three
meetings is 45-60 minutes.
Usually there are one or two weeks
between each of the
three meetings.
The process consists of,
Zoom Meeting #1 –
The Trainee tells four stories to
Dr Eric, who gives feedback.
The Trainee tells these stories to
a group of people in a
chosen age-group, and leads a
discussion with the listeners
about the stories and the ways they
were told.
The Trainee writes and sends to Dr
Eric a page of notes about
the experience of doing the above.
Zoom Meeting #2 –
The Trainee discusses with Dr Eric
a storytelling-related
workshop the Trainee would conduct
with a group of people
in the same age-group the Trainee
told the four stories to.
The Trainee writes and sends to Dr
Eric a workshop description
and outline.
The Trainee conducts the workshop.
Zoom Meeting #3 –
The Trainee and Dr Eric discuss the
Trainee's experience of
conducting the workshop.
