CSF 2024 is a free festival.  There are no admission fees,

and the Presenters are not being paid by the festival.

Festival attendees are encouraged to give contributions

to individual Presenters.  Info about how to give a

Special features of CSF 2024 include:

 

1) Numerous sessions for/by/with children.

 

2) Six Storytelling Sessions in Indian Languages other than English.

 

3) A 90-minute Storytelling, and a 90-minute Workshop by Laura Simms.

(Sat 10 Feb, and Sat 17 Feb).

 

4) An eight-session Workshop on Story Composition (Making-up

Stories) by Eric Miller (9pm-10pm each Fri and Sat of the Festival).

 

5) A Discussion about "Ways the Dravidian Movement has Used

Stories to Communicate Its Messages" (Sun 25 Feb).

Please make and send recordings of storytellings!

 

CSF 2024's schedule is set.  However, people are invited

to make and send in recordings of storytellings (in any

language) to CSF 2024 (to info@storytellinginstitute.org ,

or 98403 94282 ).  Recording on a mobile phone would

be fine.  One way to send a recording is via this website. 

Up to Sun 18 Feb.

 

The theme of Chennai Storytelling Festival 2024 is 

Storytelling and "Personal Growing and Maturing (and

possibly also Community Growing and Maturing)." Dialogue

between (and within) characters is encouraged. Any kind

of story would be fine (personal-experience stories, folktales,

historical stories, original fictional stories, etc).

 

One of these recordings (in each language) would be named

the "Most touching and moving".
